Kindergarten

Our mission in kindergarten is to provide students with the best, appropriate learning environment. Students will develop together academically and socially. Students learn through explicit teaching that encompasses reading, math, science, and social studies.

Sarah Harwell

My name is Sarah McCurry Harwell. I am a Kindergarten teacher as East Lincoln Elementary and have been teaching since 2006. I was born and raised in Tullahoma. I now live in Manchester with my husband, Chris Harwell, and our two sons, Judd and Gus Harwell.

I graduated from the University of Mississippi in 2006 with my bachelor’s in Elementary Education. I continued my education and received my master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Middle Tennessee State University in 2010.

My mission as a kindergarten teacher at East Lincoln is to inspire, encourage, motivate, and support all students by providing a safe, secure, and loving environment to educate them socially, emotionally, and cognitively so they can continue to build a foundation for life-long learning.

Amanda Hazlett

My name is Amanda Hazlett. I was born and raised in Tullahoma. I am married to Dustin Hazlett, and we have two beautiful children, Sawyer and Charlotte.

I graduated from Tullahoma High School in 1998 and then went on to earn a bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. I also have a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Middle Tennessee State University.

My 14 years of teaching have all been spent in Kindergarten and East Lincoln. As a teacher, my primary goal is to show students that I care. I care about their well being, their emotional state and I care about their education. I hope that my kids leave my classroom with the tools to be productive, caring citizens in our community. I believe in them, and I hope they know that.
