3rd Grade

Hello, my name is Megan Ferrell. I am a 2008 Tullahoma High School graduate. I attended Motlow State Community College and graduated in 2011 with my Associates of Applied Science in Elementary Education. I also attended Tennessee Tech University where I graduated in 2013 with my Bachelor of Multidisciplinary Studies in Elementary Education. I live in Tullahoma with my husband and my daughter. I have been teaching for ten years and all of my time has been at East Lincoln Elementary. I have taught one year in RTI, one year as a fourth grade teacher, and eight years as a third grade teacher. 

I grew up in Tullahoma the majority of my childhood. I attended Farrar Elementary  and West Middle School here in Tullahoma. I then moved to Lynchburg where I graduated from Moore County High School. I have a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from TN Tech, and a Master’s in curriculum from WGU. I have been a teacher for nine years and have  been teaching in Tullahoma for seven of those years. I am married and have one son. I love spending time with my family and friends when I am not teaching.

My name is Laken Barnes. I was born and raised in Tullahoma where I attended Robert E Lee Elementary, East Middle School, and graduated from Tullahoma High School in 2004. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from The University of Tennessee Southern. I am currently working on my Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Western Governor's University. Outside of the classroom, I am the assistant coach for the Tullahoma High School Lady Cats Soccer team. I have a strong commitment to both my students and athletes, striving to inspire the next generation to achieve their fullest potential.

When I am not at school, you will usually find me on a softball field, playing or coaching, or spending time with my daughter, Alexus. I also love to travel, discover new restaurants, or read a good thriller!
